The ocean, an ancient and powerful force on Earth, nurtures and sustains all forms of life. As the renowned marine biologist Rachel Carson states in her 1952 work "The Sea Around Us," the ocean's power and significance are profound—it is not only a colossal presence in the universe but also intimately linked to our everyday existence. Her insights serve as a reminder of the ocean's vulnerability and its central role in Earth's life system, as well as the close connection between the abundant life forms within it and humanity.
At this moment of harmony with the ocean, we sincerely invite you to participate in the IOAF International Ocean Art Festival in August 2024, themed "Life, Ocean, Harmony." The ocean is the source of life and a wellspring of artistic inspiration. Through your creations, we can showcase the vibrancy of life and convey the critical message of ocean conservation, thereby awakening environmental awareness among the public. This annual event brings together creative talents from around the globe to celebrate and contemplate our collective connection with the ocean.
